Textbooks (optional)

"Atmospheric Science" by J. Wallace and P. Hobbs, Academic Press, 2nd edition
"A Short Course in Cloud Physics" by R.R. Rogers and M.K. Yau, 3rd edition (recomended)
"An Introduction to Boundary Layer Meteorology" by R. B. Stull, 1988 edition

Grading

25% Homework
70% 2 exams
5% Class participation

Each unexcused absence - minus 3%;
Grade conversion: A: >90, B+: 86-90, B: 76-85, C+: 70-75, C: <70 but > 65; failed if <65
The final score can be adjusted upward depending on the overall performance and activity during the class.

Policies

Homework is handed out biweekly or so. After the due date, homework can be turned in for 50% credit. Homework can be discussed with other students; however, each student is expected to write the solutions independently. Zero tolerance for plagiarism. If you copy the solution/answer from the web, make sure to at least change the wording. Intentional use of phone  during my class is prohibited. Noone is allowed to simply leave the classroom, for bathroom or other reasons, without my explicit permission.
