I am a Professor of Atmospheric Science at the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences, Stony Brook University. I am also a founding faculty of the Institute for Advanced Computational Science. My major research interests include cloud-resolving modeling and multi-scale modeling of climate.

Research

System for Atmospheric Modeling (SAM) - is the cloud-resolving model (CRM) that evolved from a Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) model that I coded while being a Ph.D student at the University of Oklahoma. SAM has been used by quite a few researchers in the US and other countries.
